Please join us in welcoming Professor Helen Stallman to our team in the new role of Professorial Research Fellow.

Helen is a specialist in the development and evaluation of health and wellbeing interventions. This includes an innovative approach to suicide prevention that focuses on supporting people when they’re distressed and helping create cultures of coping for children to grow up in.

For the past 10 months, Helen has led the USC post-graduate psychology programs. She is Director of the International Association for University Health and Wellbeing and is a recipient of numerous awards includingthe International Education Association of Australia Award for Best Practice/Innovation and the Uniquest Trailblazer and Healthy Development Adelaide, Women’s Excellence in Research Award

Helen said she is excited to join The Alliance for Suicide Prevention – Sunshine Coast and “harness the power of community partnerships to make real changes to the health and wellbeing of our community and suicide prevention”.
