Our mission this World Suicide Prevention Day: train 100 Sunshine Coasters to be suicide-alert. Join our face-to-face or online training for everyday people, and learn how to recognise someone at risk of suicide and connect them to help.

safeTALK is back

Our popular monthly suicide alertness training is back for the first time since March – on the eve of World Suicide Prevention Day 2020.

Join us for safeTALK on Wednesday 9 September so you will be ready to act if someone shows signs of suicidality.

Register for your free safeTALK ticket here. Numbers are limited to 25 people so get in quick,

If you can’t make it on 9 September, we would love to see you at our next safeTALK in October.

It’s time to make a Start

The Alliance has now trained 210 people since May in the online suicide alertness program, Start.

On World Suicide Prevention Day (10 September), we are issuing a fresh batch of licences free to anyone who registers (Sunshine Coast locals only).

Feedback on the training has been highly positive, with participants liking its engaging format and clever functions allowing you to practise what you learn.

This interactive training is especially useful for those unable to attend safeTALK workshops, or those preferring online training during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It takes just 60-90 mins to complete and can be done online at a time and place that suits you.

Register via the Alliance website – the only mandatory requirement is that you have a Sunshine Coast postcode.
