Vulnerable Sunshine Coast people have had access to groceries from the safety of their homes during COVID-19, thanks to a partnership between Alliance Partners ComLink and White’s IGA.

ComLink clients include frail, older people who need assistance with daily living activities. They are therefore also at a greater risk of more serious illness with COVID-19.

Clients place grocery orders directly with ComLink and receive them within 24-48 hours via a free delivery service by White’s IGA or ComLink staff. White’s IGA also give a five percent discount on ComLink clients’ orders.

Many clients enjoyed ComLink’s assisted shopping services and had to cancel these plans due to COVID-19. The partnership with White’s IGA has provided ComLink clients hassle-free access to groceries and essential items from a trusted retailer without having to leave their home.

ComLink and White’s IGA first spoke about the collaboration as the pandemic was unfolding and were therefore able to move quickly to provide ComLink clients with access to essential goods.

As the community advances through the crisis, the partners have identified benefits that could broaden client access across Queensland through the IGA Network.
